Upcoming Meetings 2024-2025

Next meeting - November 18th and remember we will be meeting at the Seniors Centre For November and December ! Hope to see you there... Long time member Linda Horner will be sharing her quilting story.

Also in November we have our first QBA on November 2nd via Zoom, we will be making a Christmas Star Block, the one day retreat is on November 9th at the Seniors Centre and the 3 day retreat is November 15-17th.

What do meetings offer?

The program committee of the Guild strives to present a variety of activities during the Guild Year. The speakers for the general meetings are chosen to represent different interests and techniques. And, each year we try to highlight the works of one of our Guild members. At least one meeting a year emphasizes "hands on" block production. These blocks are then used to create quilt tops for community projects.  We also have fabric sale nights or stash swaps, games and lucky draws to win a few tidbits, and challenges through the year to keep you quilting.

Want to help and participate more ?

We are always looking for volunteers for small and large tasks, from simply arriving early and helping to set up tables, to running committees, and everything in between.  We value our members time and efforts so even one hour is greatly appreciated. The following committees are looking for some help this year:
Community Outreach - The Guild is very involved in our surrounding community from Comfy Cases ( pillow cases for children in hospital), to donation quilts for various organizations, journals for Family Transition House, placemats for those who receive meal deliveries, and mastectomy pillows PLUS MANY MORE.  Help us help our community
Show n Tell - At the end of every meeting  it's all about the members, a chance to show what you have created, share your projects and maybe inspire others. We need helpers to hold up the projects while the members talk about them.
Website  -  Are you a bit of a techie? Have some website experience ? We use WordPress to create and update our site and could use a few people to help keep the website up to date and post the latest info and news.
