The program committee of the Guild strives to present a variety of activities during the Guild Year. The speakers for the general meetings are chosen to represent different interests and techniques. And, each year we try to highlight the works of one of our guild members. At least one meeting a year emphasizes "hands on" block production. These blocks are then used to create quilt tops for community projects.
Upcoming Meetings 2022-23
September Speaker - Karen Poce, a “Quilt Crusader”.
A quilt crusader is defined as one who rescues lost and abandoned Antique Quilts and renews their spirit by documenting and restoring, thereby continuing to tell their stories through the hands that originally quilted fabrics together into objects of Love, Warmth and Family History. She will be sharing some of the vintage quilts from her collection and will also have some vintage quilt tops and vintage fat quarters for sale.
October Speaker - Millie Cumming,
She is a fibre artist, and will do a trunk show presentation and talk about how to personalize your quilts.
Advance Notice - December Guild Meeting
We are having a “Table Sale” where guild members can book a table to sell items. Items can be unwanted fabric/notions or other items (not necessarily quilt related) that members have created. A great opportunity for you to turn those unwanted items back into cash and for others to buy a new treasure or two.
