“in house” draws as fund raisers to help cover Guild expenses
Donations from the Stitch & Share groups, individuals or as a Guild project.
The Afternoon Stitch & Share Ladies appliqued the traditional Job’s Tears pattern under the tutelage of Joanne Kiser. It was donated to the Guild as a fund raiser for our first Quilt Show in 2001. It was won by Wilma Martin
The Morning Glories Stitch & Share Group appliqued the morning glory flower block which was designed by Cynthia Cotton. Leah Mitchell assembled the top and the group hand quilted it. The “in house” draw was won by Kim Paddon
The 2007-08 BOM featured block patterns for a vertical strippy quilt. Two members made a quilt each and donated them to the Guild for an “in house” draw. Margaret Copeland and A.J. were the winners.
The Afternoon Stitch & Share Ladies pieced and assembled the Pinwheel quilt and pillow sham. It was used as a demo “Quilting Bee” at the 2010 and 2013 Quilt Shows. Rosemary Galbraith finished the quilting. The “in house” draw was won by Lynne Norman
The Holy Leaf blocks (pattern by Deb Moffett-Hall) were paper pieced by the Guild members. The top was assembled and quilted by Lisa Seinen. It was purchased by Lynne Norman.
Heavenly Stars was designed on EQ6 and quilted by Mary Light. The top was pieced and bound by Leah Mitchell. They donated the quilt to raise funds for the 2010 Quilt Show. It was purchased by Lynne Norman.
This lovely Celtic applique quilt was donated to the guild by Lois Brown, Founding Member and President from 1997-98. The “in house” draw was won by Janet Slater. The funds were directed to Community Quilts Projects.
