Raffle quilts are made to raise funds to support the Guild’s Community Projects and to promote quilting as an art form to the Community.

The Scrappy Spool block was chosen to make the Guild’s first Raffle Quilt. Members pieced the blocks and Leah Mitchell assembled the blocks and border. The quilt was quilted by Guild member Marilyn Lockhurst. The raffle was won by Nietz Faizon. Orangeville.

The Provincial Flowers pattern designed by Sandy Small Proudfoot was chosen as our second Raffle quilt. Members appliqued & embroidered the blocks and quilted the top. It was won by Trish Fedora, Brampton. The money raised helped support our first Quilt Show “The Magic of Cloth”, September 2001.

Members paper pieced the Attic Window blocks then arranged the blocks to form stars that extended into the border. The quilt was long arm quilted by Pix Martin from Elmira.
